Exactly what do you think the Evagelical wing of the UMC needs to move forward and denounce the liberal wing? It seems God’s trying very hard to get your attention to move forward. The Confesional movement seems like the only organ out there that can organize this. However they have fallen into the same trap here. Evangelicals are paralyzed and refusing to begin the work that God is making very clear. Any comments on my question above?
John, I enjoy your fiery commentary. Sounds like John Brown to me (smile), someone a little ahead of his hour. Evangelical leaders are already praying for an uprising of the Spirit. (Read between David Watson’s lines.) Some, like Timothy Tennent, are quietly de-cluttering their offices getting ready for it. Others, like Tom Lambrecht, will skillfully play the game out to the end (by the rules) hoping for a miracle.
